History
Auntie Anne’s started as a stand at Downington’s farmer’s market, Pennsylvania in 1988. Jonas Beiler, husband and wife, started Auntie Anne’s. They initially concentrated on selling their homemade lemonade and pretzels.
It was a huge success and quickly grew. The first franchise opened in Middletown, Pennsylvania, in 1989. The chain opened its 100th store in 1992, just four years after they were first established. In 1995, the chain opened its first international store in Jakarta, Indonesia. They were celebrating the opening their 1000 th store in Fresno (California) in 2000.
